Enjoy learning to paint the
grandeur of Glacier National Park with award winning artist James Moore.
Learn how to see and capture on canvas Glacier National Park’s snow
capped mountains, serene lakes, sparkling streams, and vibrant sunrises
and sunsets. Learn to create the levels of recession in the mountains,
the arc of the sky, and the structure of clouds. Learn that the sky and
water are not simply blue and that snow and clouds are not simply white.
Learn to mix paint, make direct brushstrokes, design and compose, and
separate the shadow family from the light family. This is a plein air
class and will involve some hiking carrying your painting gear. Limit:
16 students.
