“Educating Your Eye....The
Key To Better Painting”
Pacific NorthWest Art School
Coupeville, WA

June 19-21, 2010
Pacific NorthWest Art School
Coupeville, WA
In this exciting workshop, award-winning Impressionist painter James
Moore teaches you how to SEE better, so you can create better paintings
that are really yours. You will learn:
How to see “color notes” and abstract shapes instead of “a nose”
How to see mass and form rather than detail and line
How to see the difference between the shadow family and the light family
How to see and mix any color of any subject
How to take fear out of the painting experience
How to put your emotion and power into your painting by expressing
yourself in every brushstroke
You will learn how to bring forth a painting by making meaningful,
expressive, direct brushstrokes, one at a time. Before you know it, you
will have created a piece of art in your own voice, because you now know
how to see in a new way. In addition to giving you individual attention
as you create your own paintings, James will also do demonstration
paintings because we are visual artists and learn best by seeing.
